Let’s Build Your Outworld M!

This guide will walk you through assembling your new AFS Outworld M, designed to create a seamless connection with your Terra ant nest using its magnetic system. Please be aware that the magnets are specifically oriented to connect with the right and back ports of Terra nests, and will not attach to the left port.

Unboxing Your Kit:

Before you begin, let’s check what’s inside your Outworld M package:

  • Acrylic Panels:
    • 2 x Side panels (one with the AFS logo)
    • 2 x Side panels with connection port (one with extra screw holes)
    • 1 x Three-piece top panel
    • 1 x Coloured base panel
  • Fixings:
    • 31 x 8mm screws (plus some extras)
    • 4 x nuts
  • Support Blocks:
    • 4 x Block A
    • 4 x Block B
  • Additional Components:
    • 2x Port slope with magnet connector
    • 1x Magnetic port blocker
    • 4 x Feet
    • 1 x Handle
    • 1 x Allen key

Step-by-Step Assembly:

  1. Peel Off the Protection: Carefully remove the protective film from all the Perspex acrylic panels.
  2. Secure the Base Blocks: Position Blocks A and B on the coloured base panel as illustrated in the accompanying diagram. Attach them using the 8mm screws. It’s important to place the rough side of each block facing downwards onto the base. This texture helps with correct block orientation. Remember that Blocks A and B will alternate at each corner of the base.
  3. Prepare the Port Side Panel: Before attaching the side panels to the base, take the side panels with the extra screw holes next to the port opening and attach the port slope and the magnet connector to this panel using two screws on each side of the port.
  4. Assemble the Sides: Now, attach the side panels to the base using the remaining screws. Ensure that the two side panels with the port openings are positioned opposite each other. Keep the side panel with the AFS logo facing outwards. When attaching the port side panel, make sure the port slope is on the inside of the outworld and the magnets are on the outside.
  5. Attach the Top Blocks: Take the remaining Blocks A and B and position them on the corners of the three-piece top panel as shown in the diagram. Secure them with 8mm screws, ensuring the rough side of each block faces upwards for correct orientation.
  6. Assemble the Lid and Handle: Carefully align and attach the three pieces of the top panel using the provided screws and nuts. You can tighten these nuts by hand until snug. Finally, attach the handle to the top panel by inserting a single screw from the underside of the lid into the handle. Refer to the product image for the correct handle placement.
  7. Final Checks and Feet: Double-check that all screws are firmly tightened. Lastly, take the four feet and push them onto the four screw ends located on the bottom of the base.
